The Holland Neighborhood Improvement Association (HNIA) is the official neighborhood organization dedicated to representing the Holland Neighborhood in NE Minneapolis (Central Ave to University Ave, 27th
Ave to 19th
Ave). Highlights of HNIA’s recent work include the Green Campus area around Edison High School and Jackson Square Park – including state of the art storm water management infrastructure and demonstration pieces, public art, an urban orchard at the Holland Basin, and a soon-to-be installed Habitat Garden at Jackson Square. HNIA also sponsors the Shoreham Community Garden, the 27th
Avenue Tot Lot/Train Park, summer programming at Jackson Square, a commercial loan program, a Home Energy Squad audit buy down program for Holland residents and Edison community members, and works to connect community partners and stakeholders as we pursue neighborhood priorities within the themes of art, energy, community, and innovation. HNIA has been pleased to play an active role in supporting the revitalization of our community and bringing multiple voices and partners to the table.
HNIA is a proud sponsor of the annual Eastside BBQ in August, and the host of the ever-popular Hotdish Revolution each spring. Our community meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month at the Firefighters Hall and Museum at Madison and 22nd Ave NE – please visit our website at hnia.org or Facebook at HNIA Holland Neighborhood for more information!
Thank you, HNIA, for your ongoing support!
