Your my favorite market

This Saturday's market will be sponsored by Windom Park Citizens In Action (WPCiA), a city-designated neighborhood organization and community engagement group for the area of northeast Minneapolis bounded by Central Avenue, 18th Avenue NE, Lowry Avenue NE and the city’s eastern border.

WPCiA’s key work over the past year has included finalizing our Small Area Transportation Plan and getting ready for implementation, encouraging neighbors to weigh in on the city’s new Comprehensive Plan, and engaging the public on visioning for the future of the local park. You may know WPCiA from its orange “Keep Northeast Safe – 30 mph – Please Slow Down” yard signs.

WPCiA’s work also includes monthly open-to-all neighborhood meetings, where residents and business representatives – in addition to board members – directly vote on matters facing the community and discuss current topics impacting the neighborhood. WPCiA works to develop a sense of community and to provide mechanisms for neighbors to be well informed on topics affecting them. Enhancing and maintaining the physical, social, economic, cultural and recreational environment, as well as promoting community safety and commercial and housing quality, are key goals.

Need a low-cost home fix-up loan? A low-interest commercial rehab loan? A home security rebate or a Home Energy Squad visit? Check out WPCiA’s programs at www.windompark.org. And keep in touch by signing up for the neighborhood’s e-blast mailings by sending a message to info@windompark.org.

Thanks, WPCiA, for your ongoing and generous support!

Visit their booth on Saturday, September 15th from 9am-1pm to learn more!
